What is this all about?
We've heard many users complaining that it's hard to integrate phpBB3 forum to Joomla environment - especially when it comes to avatar syncing. We've created instructions of how to do this for both popular community systems - Community Builder and JomSocial. The integrator provided below helps you to integrate Joomla and phpBB3 forum. It is neither a module nor a plugin, i.e. you can't simply install it. Rather it's set of files and a detailed instruction of what has to be done to have a more sophisticated site. However, the overall setup is very easy. You should only create a couple of new fields in either CB or JomSocial and overwrite the existing files.

Main features
Basically you‘ll achieve several things by using this integrator
- Avatar syncing. Avatar from your CB or JomSocial user profile is displayed on phpBB3 forum topics.
- Several fields syncing. City, website link, age and Skype icon from your CB or JomSocial user profile is displayed on phpBB3 forum topics.
- Profile linking. When user clicks on avatar or user name in the phpBB3 forum, the link takes him to the corresponding user’s CB or JomSocial profile page instead of taking to the phpBB3 profile.
This module shows the most important forum activities in tabs or slides. It is basically made of four parts and shows: latest topics, latest unanswered topics, most active topics per week and most active topics per month.
