What is this all about?
We've heard many users complaining that it's hard to integrate phpBB3 forum to Joomla environment - especially when it comes to avatar syncing. Some years ago we created instructions of how to do this for both popular community systems - Community Builder and JomSocial. We received a lot thank you letters since then :)
After some time we decided to create a pack of files to help users to integrate phpBB3 into Joomla. All they had to do was to update their default phpBB3 installation.
And recently we have made a big leap forward and introduced Joomla component. It further simplifies integration of phpBB3 and Joomla.
Main features of phpBB3 Integrator component
- Avatar syncing. On phpBB3 forum users will see JomSocial avatars.
- Several fields syncing. City, website and age are also displayed from JomSocial.
- Profile linking. When user clicks on avatar or user name in the phpBB3 forum, the link takes him to the corresponding user’s JomSocial profile page.
